The Economic Waves of Google Wave

I gave a talk recently titled "A Strategic View of Wave" and concluded that Wave will change everything. Here are my speaker's notes if you would like to read my first take. Better, I will be expanding on them here, so follow the feed.

The meeting gave Atlanta a bit of angular momentum around Wave. But, I wondered, how can we achieve cyclone?

The next day, a briefing on a strategy for Atlanta economic development was released by the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce.The study briefing is linked at Optimism Abounds on a New Economic Development Strategy.

I am awestruck by the huge oppotunity, for Atlanta and for each of us! To begin the conversation I offer this matrix of the economic wave that will accompany Google Wave.

I was at Google I/O in May. Since then I have been thinking about the ecosystem of Wave extensions and a web enabled by a fast auction layer. For the next year I'll be devoting my energy to these by advocacy, strategic consulting and demos.

Let's build a Wave industry in Atlanta.

    I agree completely. There is a tremendous opportunity.

    The article you mentioned, indicates that Atlanta can become a niche market leader, in such things as, electronic medical records.

    How can we work together to bring awareness of these future leaders, to the new technologies? Do you think that Google should assist in the effort?
